About the Presenters

Richard Coleman, Managing Director

Richard has significant insurance industry experience. At Zurich he held a variety of roles in the Group spanning some 18 years including Head of Navigators & General (their yacht insurance business), leadership of Personal Lines Broker and SME within Zurich’s Broker Division and MD of Zurich’s UK Commercial Broker business.

Richard was previously European Director & Global Head of Insurance and Assistance at Collinson, responsible for the P&L, business strategy and people based in three of their offices in the European region. He is also an advisory board member at artificial intelligence Insuretech Cytora.

On a more personal note, Richard lives in West Sussex, is the father of two and enjoys travel, running, skiing and golf.

Marc Lewis, Underwriting Director
Marc joined Ecclesiastical in October 2023 as UKGI Underwriting Director, responsible for the overall underwriting strategy within the UK business and supporting our ambitious plans for future growth. 

Prior to joining Ecclesiastical he spent eleven years at Aviva in a variety of leadership roles, including Head of Casualty within the Global Corporate and Specialty business before being promoted to Chief Underwriting Officer, Commercial Lines in 2021. 

Outside of insurance, Marc lives in West Sussex, is the father of two girls who take up most his spare time!

Chris Withers, Schemes and Partnerships Director
Chris heads up Ecclesiastical’s growing schemes business having held the role of broker distribution director with Ecclesiastical since 2016.

He previously worked as Schemes Manager and Head of Distribution at Covea and before that RSA in a variety of business development and leadership roles.

Chris enjoys all sports and is a keen runner, golfer and fan of Reading FC.

Simon McGill, UK Schemes Development Manager
Simon is responsible for leading Ecclesiastical Schemes DA and MGA relationships and development, helping brokers & MGA’s find solutions and capacity in the Schemes space across the United Kingdom. He is the focal point for all new opportunities, co-ordinating with the team of Strategic Account Managers and New Business Underwriters within Ecclesiastical. 

Prior to joining the Schemes team, Simon worked as an open market Account Manager in the Northern Region for Ecclesiastical and has enjoyed a 30-year career within corporate broking and insurance recruitment. 

Away from work, Simon has a passion for running, golf, walking his 2 terriers (Alfie & Ziggy), Gloucester Rugby and QPR.
