LONDON, UK – 18th September 2026 – Charles Taylor Assistance managed a record volume of travel insurance claims in 2025, representing a 24% year-on-year increase, as demand for its claims management and medical assistance services continues to grow.
The increase follows significant new business wins from existing and new travel insurer clients. And the provider is forecasting a further 12% rise in travel claims during 2026; managed by its UK and Mallorca-based claims and medical assistance specialists.
According to Charles Taylor Assistance, Spain, France and the UK were the top three countries generating travel claims in 2025, with travel cancellations, medical emergencies and lost or damaged personal effects topping the list of claim causes. Meanwhile, the average value of travel claims managed by the provider in 2025 was £1,458: up 8% on the previous year.
Jody Baker, Charles Taylor Assistance Chief Executive, comments, “As our managed travel claim volumes rise, our significant investments in both staff development and digital capability enable us to increase claims management capacity, offer maximum choice about how and when customers submit claims and provide expert customer-focused support when it’s needed.
“The increasing cost and complexity of travel claims is driving insurers to seek out end-to-end claims management solutions. Thanks to in-house expertise that ranges from doctors and medical assistance specialists to fraud investigators, travel teams and claims handlers, we offer a truly customer-focused service that anticipates and meets the needs of insurers and customers alike at every stage of the travel claims journey.”
