The MGAA is pleased to support this initiative where the insurance industry is coming together to help alleviate the disruption of children’s education in this country, caused by school closures and lack of access to technology. The government is working on the issue but a lot more needs to be done.
The initiative has support across the market from the International Underwriting Association of London (IUA) and the Association of British Insurers (ABI), British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA), the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), Lloyd’s, Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA), and the Worshipful Company of Insurers.
Firms and individuals can help in two ways:
- By making a financial donation to a fund being administered on behalf of the industry by the Worshipful Company of Insurers Charitable Trust. Details of how to donate are here.
- By donating surplus equipment to help children learn. (The Government provides a minimum specification here). Lloyd’s of London is taking delivery of equipment for onward delivery to schools.
Please consider how you and your firm can donate – financially or with equipment.
For more information, please see www.computers-4-schools.co.uk or to read the flyer click here.
Every little bit helps and we hope that individuals and firms will support this industry wide initiative.
