About the Presenters

Reg Brown, Insurance Museum
Reg is a retired Lloyd’s Underwriter (R.E. Brown & Others Syndicate 702) and a former President of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He is the Founder and Former Chairman of the MGAA and has served as a mentor for Tower Hamlets and Lloyd’s in the community. Reg is a driving force focused on delivering the Insurance Museum.  

Charles Manchester, Chairman, MGAA
Charles has over 40 years’ experience in insurance, having worked for MGAs, brokers and insurers, from junior to CEO level and as an entrepreneur.

Charles is currently:
• A member of the supervisory board and a shareholder of a Polish MGA
• Chairman of the Managing General Agents Association, the MGAA

Previously, Charles has been Chief Executive Officer of a UK insurer, active underwriter of a Lloyd’s syndicate as well as founder and CEO of Manchester Underwriting Management, an MGA, and previously of Dickson Manchester & Co Ltd, a wholesale Lloyd’s broker.

Mike Keating, CEO, MGAA
Mike Keating has been the CEO of the Managing General Agents Association since September 2020. With a varied and successful career, he started as an underwriter in the company market before joining AXA Commercial in 1999, where he managed strategic MGA/DA partnerships and became Managing Director of their Personal Lines business. In 2011, Mike joined the board at UK General, one of the UK’s largest MGAs, and led a targeted strategy for small regional brokers.

From 2016, he held executive roles in the broker sector before collaborating with West Hill Capital to launch the MGA Insurtech start-up, Qlaims.

Mike has been recognized for his contributions to the industry, being named to the 2024 Insurance Business Global list for the second consecutive year.

Kaj Pankhania, Chair, MGAA Next Gen
Kaj Pankhania is Chair of the MGAA Next Gen and a Director at DA Strategy. As Chair of the MGAA Next Gen, Kaj leads initiatives focused on fostering growth and development for the next generation of insurance professionals. She is passionate about creating educational, mentoring and networking opportunities for young MGA professionals to address industry challenges, positioning MGAA Next Gen as a vital platform for knowledge sharing and career advancement.

At DA Strategy, she plays a pivotal role in driving innovation and providing strategic solutions for delegated authority arrangements. Kaj works closely with start-up MGAs to optimise their growth provide regulatory hosting services and supporting DA services, allowing new MGAs to thrive. Her expertise spans strategy, risk management, compliance, and operational efficiency. Kaj’s leadership is recognised for its forward-thinking approach, driving inclusivity and professional growth within the insurance sector.

When Jack entered the insurance industry straight from school, he didn’t anticipate staying in the field 10 years later—but he has certainly come to love it. After starting out at a brokerage, he made the switch to underwriting in 2016 and joined Miramar in 2018, where he has become part of a fantastic team and continued building a diverse portfolio of delegated authorities on behalf of insurer partners.

As a member of the MGAA Next Gen committee, Jack is excited to work alongside a wealth of emerging talent and is enjoying helping young professionals navigate the exciting and crucial world of insurance.
