Following a period of strong organic rate growth, the sector is now entering a phase of rate softening, alongside continued ambitions for top-line growth.

Our panel – representing all stakeholders, including the end customer – will debate how we can continue to meet the objectives of delivering consistent underwriting earnings and meeting customer expectations, against a backdrop of reducing rate adequacy and increased competition.

TECH PANEL – Technology’s Role in Securing a Bright Future

Technology will play an increasingly pivotal role in securing a bright future for the sector over the next planning period and beyond. Our panel—once again representative of the wider market – will explore what stakeholders should consider when investing in technology to retain a competitive advantage, meet evolving customer expectations, and strike the right balance between AI, human interaction, and new data enrichment tools.

This session will give delegates the opportunity to assess their current position in the technology journey and identify any gaps.

Together, they’ll discuss how we can collectively ensure that our industry remains focused on delivering sustainable underwriting profit, whether we’re doing enough to actively promote the value and strengths of our sector to key stakeholders and regulators, and the current state of the relationship between insurers and MGAs – how strong it is today and how it might need to evolve.

15:10 – 15:50

PANEL SESSION: What constitutes a bright future?

As competition intensifies, rating environments remain under pressure, and the need for significant technology investment grows, the question of what success will look like over the next 24–36 months has never been more important. Our panel – bringing together senior leaders from across the market – will explore the key disciplines that must remain non-negotiable, what should always be prioritised, and what may need to be deferred as businesses set their strategic course.

The session will also address one of the sector’s most critical challenges: attracting, developing, and retaining the next generation of talent.

This discussion is designed to help delegates reflect on their own business priorities and assess where to focus in order to succeed in the years ahead.
