Kovrilo enhances SME offering with cyber and electrical breakdown cover
6th July 2026
LONDON, 6th July 2026 — Kovrilo, the MISSION-backed MGA providing modular commercial combined cover for UK SMEs, has added a series of significant enhancements to its proposition, designed to offer brokers greater choice and broader protection against some of the fastest-growing risks facing businesses today.
Through its partnership with specialist engineering and technology insurer HSB, Kovrilo has introduced Cyber cover and Electrical Breakdown cover, reflecting the increasing reliance businesses have on power, equipment, connected systems and digital infrastructure, helping brokers deliver a more complete solution for customers exposed to costly disruption, downtime and financial loss. Kovrilo has also enhanced its Plant, Machinery & Tools cover to provide broader protection for the equipment businesses rely on every day.
The additions strengthen Kovrilo’s modular proposition, giving brokers and their clients greater control over the protection they buy. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all package, Kovrilo operates on a model that enables businesses to select the cover that reflects their specific risks.
Sonia Habib, Co-CEO and Commercial Director at Kovrilo, said: “Kovrilo’s proposition is built on choice. To provide truly tailored solutions, we need to keep expanding our product suite to reflect the wide range of evolving risks businesses face.”

Cyber incidents are not confined to larger organisations, with 43% of UK businesses experiencing a cyber breach or attack in the last 12 months, according to the UK Government’s Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2025.
Kovrilo has introduced Cyber cover to help businesses protect against cyber attacks, data breaches, ransomware incidents and other technology-related threats that can cause financial loss, operational disruption and reputational damage. The cover includes access to specialist cyber incident response support, helping businesses respond quickly and effectively when a cyber event occurs.
The Electrical Breakdown cover add-on protects businesses against sudden and unforeseen damage to electrical systems and equipment, including losses arising from power surges, electrical arcing, mechanical failure and electrical derangement. The cover can help with repair or replacement costs, damage to electrical and electronic equipment, machinery and control systems failures, business interruption following an insured breakdown, and increased costs incurred to keep a business operating.
Sonia Habib continued: “Cyber incidents and equipment breakdowns can have a significant impact far beyond the immediate cost of repair or replacement. For many SMEs, it can mean lost income, disrupted operations, reputational damage and additional costs at a time when they can least afford it. These product enhancements allow us to give brokers more ways to build protection around the realities of clients’ operations and ensure the right cover is in place when it is needed most.”
