That’s why we offer Best’s Performance Assessment for DUAEs (Best’s PA for DUAEs), a forward-looking, independent, and objective non-credit option indicative of a DUAE’s relative ability to perform services on behalf of its insurance partners.
DUAE is used as a blanket term to capture:
· Managing General Agents (MGAs)
· Managing General Underwriters (MGUs)
· Coverholders
· Program Administrators
· Program Underwriters
· Underwriting Agencies
· Direct Authorisations
· Appointed Representatives
It’s a comprehensive analysis consisting of a quantitative and qualitative assessment of Underwriting Capabilities, Governance and Internal Controls, Financial Condition, Organisational Talent, and Depth and Breadth of Relationships.
The PA can be used by DUAEs to differentiate and showcase themselves in the marketplace, and users of DUAEs can use the PA as a tool for evaluating and selecting the right partner for their business.
On 1 February 2022, AM Best introduced a new Best’s Performance Assessment for Delegated Underwriting Authority Enterprises (DUAEs), which includes UK/London market MGAs.
