Tim Jordan

Director of Corporate Solutions • MDU Insurance Solutions

MGA Member

As the leader of a fast-growing MGA, MDU Insurance Solutions, I’ve been really impressed with the member resources from the Managing General Agents’ Association (MGAA). Their webinars and in-person meetings have been both informative and challenging with the perfect blend of market insight and expert knowledge.

The MGAA really seems to be capturing the buzz of the booming MGA market that MDU Insurance Solutions is proud to be a part of.

The compliance support offered through the MGAA has been a key resource for us, helping us understand the intricacies of the regulations and how they apply to our specific situation.  We are grateful for the expertise and assistance provided and would not hesitate to recommend the MGAA’s services to other organisations seeking reliable and knowledgeable compliance support.

Head of Commercial (Private Client) • Renovation Underwriting

MGA Member

As a niche MGA, everything we do is driven to offer value and expertise to our brokers, and building strong partnerships more widely is just as important to us. MGAA membership is one of the key ways we can showcase our commitment to the sector and we are delighted to hold such a strong relationship. Over the last year, we’ve had the opportunity to participate in a huge number of events and activities on offer by the MGAA, and we see their team as true business partners.

Kevin Carrabine

Managing Director • Platinum Underwriting Limited

MGA Member

I am delighted to positively endorse the value membership of the MGAA brings to Platinum Underwriting. Having joined the Association in 2017, the membership benefits proposition only goes from strength to strength, which is a true testament to the MGAA team not only listening to member views, but also acting in support of our business.

Steve Cowman

Managing Director • NBS Underwriting

MGA Member

NBS holds its membership with the MGAA in high regard. The MGAA’s dedicated representation and advocacy for our sector have been instrumental in promoting the significance of MGAs in the insurance industry. Their commitment to shaping the future of delegated underwriting in the UK and Republic of Ireland has been invaluable. We are proud to be part of an organisation that communicates the considerable benefits of MGAs and drives best practices, which ultimately helps contribute to our growth and success.

Since joining the MGAA in June of 2022, Frost Underwriting have found great value in having on hand a knowledgeable and reliable point of contact for any queries we have submitted, in particular those relating to the Central Bank of Ireland’s regulatory and compliance requirements. Turnaround has been swift and provided with professionalism, which we have appreciated.

CUO • Hive Underwriting

MGA Member

HIVE Underwriters are proud to be a member of the MGAA.

The association performs the essential task of representing MGAs with government and regulatory bodies as well as ensuring professional standards are maintained within the sector.

Couple these with the ever-popular collaborative events, including the showcase AGM, first-class lectures and topical discussions and it all makes for an extremely attractive and compelling case for any MGA to join such a proactive association.

Managing Director • Generation Underwriting Management

The MGAA just went that extra mile yet again. The attitude and professionalism of the team is superb and you know that they will deploy all those traits and skills when responding to a member’s request for assistance or advice. On this occasion they also showed the value of the wider network of associated suppliers who they can reach out to for technical expertise. We were able to get a prompt response with valuable insight on a complex topic. Impressive and much appreciated!

Toquil McLuskey

Managing Director • Pulse Insurance

MGA Member

Pulse Insurance decided to join the MGAA because we felt that our sector needed to raise its profile and to ensure that MGAs and wholesale brokers didn’t get squeezed between carriers, retail brokers and regulators. The MGAA has succeeded in raising awareness and reminding partners that MGAs add real value to carriers and customers alike. Training sessions are excellent and the opportunity to raise concerns with others in the same situation is incredibly useful. We definitely feel that our membership more than pays for itself.

Isabel Alvarez

Head of HR • Rising Edge

MGA Member

As a start-up business, the MGAA has been an invaluable resource to Rising Edge, providing us with advice, support, and networking benefits. The training programme in particular has been an excellent addition to our staff offering. The MGAA provides a versatile platform with access to on-demand video sessions, reading resources, and live webinars in a cost-effective way that enables us to manage, track and run reports on staff training both inside and outside the MGAA – all while complying with FCA regulation. The training offered covers topics from across the insurance industry, meaning participants are able to gain a wider understanding of key market topics and trends.

Alan Hickman

Co-Founder • ARMD Limited

As a newer entrant MGA, who offers niche products to UK insurance brokers, we engaged with the MGAA to take advantage of their understanding of the broker/MGA space, we’ve since, and in a relatively short period of time, benefitted from some fantastic events such as the recent annual conference, they’ve also been very helpful with their members from a contacts and relationship standpoint and their news/regulatory and market updates are timely and valuable. The breadth of the MGAA offering is vast and the value if strong. What a great bunch of people too!
