Next Gen Mentorship Scheme
With the insurance industry having shifted to a hybrid working pattern for many, the power of mentorship and the importance of investing time to promote development has never been more important.
As the core of the MGAA Community we feel the mentoring scheme will provide a support network and career development tool.
The Aim of the scheme is:
- To support individuals within the MGA sector and provide inspiration and direction for personal and professional development
- To actively address the wider industry perception of talent being lost over the next 5 years
- To facilitate mutually beneficial long term connections for members, through participation in the scheme and through follow up networking events
- To increase the visibility of the Next Gen committee with MGAA members through the scheme
For this scheme to work we will need the following:
- Mentees – Individuals who consider themselves within the “next generation” of insurance, working within organisations signed up to the MGAA. Individuals within this category will have ambition to commit to personal and professional development within the industry
- Mentors – Individuals with a suggested 15 years of experience within the insurance industry and MGA sector, or experience in leadership roles, who are looking to share their knowledge and insights and have the time required to dedicate to the project
It is critical to the scheme that confidentiality is viewed by all parties as a fundamental requirement.
