Joel Markham
Director of Delegated Authority Partnerships AXA Commercial
Joel joined AXA in 2020 and, as of January 2025, took on the role of Director of Schemes and Delegated Authority Partnerships. In this capacity, he leads the strategic delivery of AXA’s Delegated Authority business with a focus on enabling underwriting talent through AXA capacity and building scalable and efficient ways of working between AXA and its partners.
With 20 years of experience in the General Insurance market, covering both Personal and Commercial Lines, Joel has held key positions at Allianz, Zurich, and Ageas. Beyond his professional responsibilities, he serves as a Trustee and Leader of his local Scout group and is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion. He currently chairs a men’s mental health cafe for AXA and sits on the CII’s Underwriting Board.
Jon Walker
CEO AXA UK Commercial
Jon joined AXA in July 2014 and is CEO of the AXA UK Commercial business and interim CEO for AXA Retail. Jon has held several senior roles in the insurance industry over a 26-year period, previously in a Broking environment, working for businesses such as Towergate, Bluefin and BGL Group. Within AXA Jon is responsible for the development and delivery of the AXA Commercial & Retail strategies and financial plans across all market segments and is a big supporter of the MGA model. Jon is a member of the AXA Insurance UK PLC Board and UK Management Committee, as well as being a member of the AXA Ireland Board

William Blumsom
Director Lime Risk Agency
William has worked in the London insurance market for 39 years. Starting with a solid grounding in a dynamic claims team, he used this experience to launch a successful broking career in the London market placing global property and casualty risks before moving into specialist financial insurance in 2004. With three other colleagues, William set up Lime Risk Agency in 2014 and has been successfully developing new, specialist insurance and surety products for property related financial risks. The MGA sector is at the forefront of innovation in the insurance market and represents the future of developing “specialism” expertise.
