Motor claims are often assessed through the facts of an incident, but the behaviours and motivations behind them can provide important context when it comes to managing risk and claims outcomes.
In this webinar, Dr Sandra Macdonald-Ames, Risk Practice Lead – Motor at Gallagher Bassett, will examine the factors that can influence deliberate and non-deliberate actions, alongside the motivations that may sit behind them.
Ravinder Johal, Partner at Strata Solicitors, a Gallagher Bassett company, will then focus on fraudulent claims and how they are identified, as well the challenges they create for insurers and claims teams.
Together they will consider the relationship between behaviour, fraud and claims outcomes, and what this means for MGA claims professionals.
Learning Objectives
- Describe some the behavioural factors that can contribute to deliberate and non-deliberate motor claim incidents.
- Explain the relationship between driver behaviour, claim frequency and claims outcomes.
- Outline the challenges fraudulent motor claims present for insurers, MGAs and claims teams.
- Summarise effective methods for detecting and managing suspected fraud across the claims lifecycle.
