There is much talk on the impact of climate change in the press. This webinar aims to explain how climate change has a direct impact on the insurance sector and suggests how taking a systems approach has real benefits to driving a more sustainable claim solutions. It will also provide some ideas on the approaches you can take the reduce the carbon impact of the whole claims journey.

Ian Gibbs
National Technical Manager Sedgwick
Ian Gibbs is a National Technical Manager in Sedgwick and has worked in the insurance sector for 25 years. He has developed services to the insurance market, to minimise the impact of wet peril and fire claims and provide flood resilient advice and repairs to customers.
Ian is currently Vice-Chair of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) Property Flood Resilience Roundtable. He is part of the CIWEM team delivering flood resilience training to the Environment Agency and the wider flood community and part of the authoring team updating the British Standard on Flood resilience. His work in these groups provides him the opportunity to influence the thinking on future flood response.
He is part of Sedgwick’s sustainability team finding solutions to the challenge of reaching net zero within Sedgwick and supporting our clients.
