Lee Hudson
Head of Specialty, AXA Commercial AXA UK
Lee is the Head of Specialty at AXA, bringing more than 30 years of underwriting experience across Specialty and Financial Lines. He joined AXA in late 2021 to broaden the business beyond its core Motor, Property and Casualty strengths. Since then, he has led the launch of Delegated Authority Partnerships in Cyber, Travel Bonds, Latent Defects, Personal Accident & Sickness, ATE, Defective Title & Decommissioning, with additional opportunities in the pipeline. He expects AXA’s Specialty Product Line to exceed £100 million in GWP, complementing Motor and P&C by the end of the decade.
Sam Houlden
Head of Schemes Distribution, AXA Commercial AXA UK
With over 20 years of experience in the commercial insurance industry, Sam Houlden has a diverse background that includes a decade as an Underwriter and more than 12+ years as a Relationship Manager. Presently, the Head of Schemes Distribution, a position he’s recently been promoted to. Sam’s expertise encompasses the digital landscape, the open market, and the specialised areas of Schemes and Delegated Authorities. In his role, he leads teams of Relationship Managers while also developing strategic initiatives to drive growth in key target areas. Additionally, he oversees various compliance, conduct, and governance workstreams to ensure best practices across the board.
