About this session

The Renters’ Rights Act 2025 will come into effect on 1 May 2026 heralding the most significant changes for private rental sector landlords and tenants. The briefing will provide an overview of the Act, highlight the risks for those providing landlord insurance solutions and look at mitigating current and emerging risks from the Act. The briefing should be of particular interest to those operating in or providing landlord insurance products to the private rental sector.

Simon Foster is head of Shoosmiths’ Residential Litigation and Real Estate Litigation (South) teams. He specialises in complex, high-value residential disputes, both long leasehold and tenancies, and development work. He advises private sector landlords on contentious and regulatory residential matters and is a regular speaker and thought leadership contributor in respect of the Renters Rights Act 2025.
