George Bucur is a Managing Director within MarshBerry’s Financial Advisory division and co-heads its specialty practice. With extensive expertise in strategic planning and mergers & acquisitions (M&A), George has completed over 165 transactions and provides tailored solutions for niche-focused insurance firms, including MGAs, MGUs, program managers, wholesale brokers, and more.
George’s proprietary market insights and best practices help reshape operating models across the insurance sector. In 2023-2024, he completed an international secondment in Amsterdam, collaborating with MarshBerry’s European team and integrating its UK office acquisition (f/k/a IMAS). This experience enhanced his global perspective, particularly in cross-border trends and M&A dynamics.
George leverages this expertise to advise clients on market developments, valuation trends, and strategic planning, offering a comprehensive view of the evolving specialty insurance landscape.
George currently maintains the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE®) Exam, in addition to the Series 62, 79 and 63 FINRA Registrations through MarshBerry Capital, LLC., the affiliated FINRA-registered broker-dealer of Marsh, Berry & Co., LLC.
